Connection, Movement & Perception:  How Hellerwork Structural Integration Supports Whole Person Healing with Cole Cottin

Join us in an exploration of the human experience and human health, as seen through the lens of Hellerwork Structural Integration -- a holistic manual therapy that uses touch, dialogue, and movement to facilitate a sense of integrated unity, alignment, and balance across one’s entire body and being.

Attendees will be guided through both philosophical and practical explorations of their own personal state of embodiment by presenter Cole Cottin, Kansas’s first ever Certified Hellerwork Structural Integration Practitioner. The focus of the evening is to provide participants with a felt sense of some of the gems and lessons hidden in the process of Structural Integration.  Concepts we will explore through dialogue and subtle movement include:

  • relationships between the micro and macro self and environment, and how connective
    tissue / fascia influences those relationships;

  • how form, function, and sensation help shape our experience of duality vs. unity;

  • five levels of awareness or doors to perception, and how the Hellerwork process facilitates healing through these lenses;

  • adaptability, resilience, and the Hellerwork system’s trauma-informed approach;

  • what is so special about the uniquely sequenced process of physical and personal unfoldement discovered by Dr. Ida P. Rolf, and built upon by aerospace engineer Joseph Heller and psychologist Dr. Don St. John, founders of the Hellerwork approach.
