HEAL THE HEALER:
Rest, Renewal, and Clarity with Cacao
January 6-8, 2023
WHO HEALS
THE HEALER?

This workshop is designed for health professionals who are seeking rest & renewal, clarity & joy, alongside laughter and learning in a community of like-hearted health professionals. You will learn skills to improve your emotional well-being and resilience. In addition, you will learn the fundamentals of the pharmacology and clinical use of ketamine for emotional health.
Current research highlights an epidemic of stress and burnout in healthcare providers. This workshop is designed to be a sanctuary and learning opportunity for anyone who has been providing care during the COVID pandemic. We will review research and explore the impact of COVID-19 on ourselves as healers, learn self-care practices to build resilience to nurture the healer within, and participate in a cacao ceremony within a physician-supervised setting. *note the low-dose optional Ketamine experience has been removed from the retreat. Only didactic information will be provided. If you have any questions, please email cmarinaro@aihm.org for details.
The agenda will include didactic, experiential, small group, and dyad formats to optimize both cognitive and embodied learning, as well as create opportunities to share and more deeply connect with each other.
This workshop will provide you with a framework for self-healing and living with greater resilience through integrating science with contemplative psychology, mindfulness, and somatic experience practices. The goal of this curriculum is to empower you with skills and practices that will help you more effectively navigate stress, experience greater meaning and joy in your work, be more present in caring for your patients, and more present and kind with yourself and with loved ones. You can take these practices back to your health care team to improve the environment you work in.
Please be prepared to engage in a variety of practices throughout this workshop. No prior yoga or meditation experience is required.
