Become a Member

Join a community of healthcare providers, health seekers and aligned organizations that share the vision, mission and goals resulting in breakthrough collaboratives that create wellness, sustainability and healing practices in all settings.


A licensed MD, DO, ND, DC, DOM, DDS or certain other licensed healthcare professional who holds a doctoral degree in a recognized field.


First-Year Practitioner

A licensed practitioner or physician in their first year of practice who holds a current license from their state of practice.


Licensed Practitioner

A healthcare professional with a current valid license in the practitioner’s state. Examples: RN, NP, PA, Psychologist (include PhD and PsyD’s), LCSW, LAc, LMT and others.


Certified Practitioner

A healthcare practitioner (health coach, Reiki master, certified hypnotherapist, etc.) who sees clients professionally and works in an area not subject to state licensure.


Health Professional Student

A student enrolled in a full-time training program at a recognized accredited school of medicine, osteopathic or naturopathic medical college, or accredited college or university.


Post-Graduate Student in Training

Until completion of residency/internship/training. A person enrolled in a full-time training program at a recognized accredited institution.


Retired/Disabled Practitioner

A person who has been an active practitioner member and has retired or is disabled from active medical practice. Retired/disabled practitioners are not listed in the Online Directory.


Professional Affiliate

Professional Affiliate members think holistically about how business products and services are delivered to individual people, and align with the Academy Values.



Any other person who aligns with the concepts and philosophies of integrative health and supports efforts to transform health care.


Association Leadership Council

The Association Leadership Council fosters collaboration among and between its members to create a host of shared benefits that include some or all of the following:

  • Participate in the most robust, interprofessional dialogue in convening and advocacy in health and medicine
  • Member discounts for Academy and Associations’ events and programs
  • Preferred revenue sharing in programs
  • All member benefits / shared benefits
