Lauren Costello was born and raised in California and earned a B.S. in Public Health and a minor in Holistic Health from San Francisco State University. During her time there she became intrigued by global health and disparities amongst underserved populations. Upon graduating, she juggled part-time jobs in the data and therapy fields, while saving up to travel Europe. The subsequent three-month trip to central and eastern Europe resulted in immense gratefulness for the opportunity to witness how others live.
In 2017, she landed a spot with AIHM where she contributes to the administration, accounting and all major areas of the organization, including membership, fellowship and education. Working with AIHM grants her the opportunity to work with people from all over the country and world, while learning more about Integrative Health, which she truly believes is the future of medicine. Lauren enjoys cooking meals sans animal products, hiking, camping, snowboarding, practicing yoga, and checking out too many books from the library at one time. She hopes to take up another language and visit more countries in her future.
